Usually the least of my concerns during prep😄 • Sometime at 5AM during early Spring last year. Before fasted cardio. When it was starting to get warm! Can you hear the birds?! I miss waking up to that sound😥 Winter, you can go away now. Kthxbye 👋🏼😒 • As for the legs.... We got some more work to do!!!! Sydney, Australia Want to build some solid legs and some strong abs? Of course you do! - Then look no further than the front squat. Now just a word of warning, the front squat is a an advanced version of the squat, so if you haven’t mastered the back squat and goblet squat I wouldn’t recommend this. If you feel like you’re ready to take it on, then continue reading. - This exercise is brutal and will really test out just how strong your core really easy. Since the bar is loaded on the front of the body, this means that your abs have to work harder to keep your body upright and this also puts a bigger emphasis on working the quad muscles. - Some people will lack the wrist flexibility in order to hold the bar up properly and if this is you, then you can use straps as an alternative to help you keep your elbows high during the movement. - Since this is a compound movement I’d suggest doing it at the start of your workout routine while you’re fresh and believe me, no one will want to do front squats half way or towards the end of their workout they’re just so bloody painful! - If you’re looking to build strength then I’d suggest staying in the 5 rep range and doing 4 - 5 sets. If you’re looking to become quadzilla like my friend _georgekalantzis then I’d suggest lighting the load and doing 3 sets of 10 - 12 reps. - I highly suggest swapping out your back squats for a few weeks to test your manhood and give these a go.
