: 119 One of my strangest memories as a kid is climbing on the mounds of laundry piled up in our laundry room. If there was one chore my mom hated and procrastinated doing, it was the laundry 👚👖🧦 (no judging here, it’s definitely not a party in my book either).
It’s not like we had a ton of money growing up, we were taken care of but we were taught how to be frugal too. Going out to eat was a treat, especially if you got to get a soda with your dinner. I think we had a pretty good life balance... UNTIL when we ran out of clothes and laundry day came around. My mom would rather take us to the store and buy us something new before running a load of wash 😂.
I might use this exact childhood memory as my justification for my shopping bug. I don’t need crazy fancy designer stuff, but the thrill of looking for something new gives me a shopper’s high. One of my favorites lately are finding vintage pieces that look like they have a story behind them so if I get a few extra minutes, I’m finding thrift stores and vintage shops to give me all the feels 💗
